Just eat ‘natural’ foods?

“Just keep it NATURAL, bro, and you’ll be healthy and lose the weight.” Does this sound familiar?

The word ‘natural’ feels like it should mean something. And that something is that the food comes directly from nature to be used by humans, right? So when you see food-products in the store that have the word ‘natural’ on them, that’s what you think you’re buying. But sometimes, you couldn’t be more wrong.

You see, the word ‘natural’ doesn’t necessarily indicate that what you’re looking at comes directly from nature! In the case of many of the products claiming to be ‘natural’, there can be additives and preservatives added to ‘natural’ ingredients in order to increase the product’s alleged effectiveness, shelf-life and/or taste.

You need to dig deeper than what your food CLAIMS to be

You need to do your research, and get some knowledge. Otherwise you’re taking some pretty big risks with your health. The easiest way? Eat real foods – meats, eggs, fruits, vegetables. They are natural, and they don’t have to prove it on their packaging.
