“Exercise for Weight Loss” is an article series detailing the most successful exercise strategies that can be used to assist in speeding up the weight loss process, and help you end-up with a sleek, toned physique once your body weight gets down to your goal-weight.

Make your own ‘movie’ to check your form

If you’re doing weight loss training for weight loss and improved strength then you really want to know that you’ve got your exercise technique sorted, so as to get the best results with no injury risk.

There are two ways to do this.

One, have a knowledgeable coach on hand every session to correct errors if they occur – that can be expensive; or two, film your workouts, check your form yourself, and have a coach look at it every now-and-then – cheaper, but still useful.

Practice the RIGHT technique from the start

You really don’t want to be ‘practicing’ incorrect technique, so make sure you check your form regularly.

All you need is a cellphone with a decent camera. You’ve got that, right? Set it up so that there’s a good view of your technique for each exercise. Move it between exercises if need be.

Is this an extra effort? Yes. Is it worth it? Potentially, very much.

So star in your very own exercise movie when you train, and you’ll have the tools to avoid getting hurt, while you continue to get positive results.
