You can use a chamomile tea bag as a compress to reduce the inflammation of conjunctivitis, says Dr. Grossman. Put the tea bag in warm (not hot) water for 2-3 minutes, squeeze out the excess liquid, then place the tea bag over your inflamed eye for 2-3 minutes. Use this treatment 3-4 times a day, he says.
