The reality is that the secret to finding the right skirt rests in your unique body type. The trick is to find a skirt that highlights your assets while minimizing your problem areas.
Your best bet is to start off by assessing your legs. If you have a gorgeous pair you want to show off, then a shorter length skirt is the way to go. If you’re a bit more self-conscious go for a midi or maxi length instead.
Highlight your waist
A skirt with a defined waistband will define your waist for a more flattering look. In fact this is what makes a-line and full skirts flattering on all body types.
These shapes also create the illusion of an hourglass figure on rectangular or boyish bodies. They also help minimise your curves if you have a pear-shaped body, while elongating your torso if you have an apple-shaped body.
