Tori Spelling: Dealing with mom guilt

Actress Tori Spelling has had to defend her parenting style many times over the years. The Beverly Hills, 90210 star has five children with her husband Dean McDermott.

Raising multiple children can sometimes make you want to run a tight ship to ensure order, but Tori says it is important to allow your children to experiment and be free.

One of his biggest challenges is balancing work and her family life.  “I live in a state of mom guilt, a perpetual state,” she told US Weekly.

But Tori says she has a good system going with her husband. “He’s waking the girls up, I’m waking the boys up and we’re  just doing it together… When I am working, he is there. We kind of just trade off, so it works.”

Minki van der Westhuizen: Don’t neglect your husband

Moms often get so busy taking care of their children that they forget about their partner’s wellbeing. Minki van der Westhuizen has her hands full with her three daughters but her husband Ernst Joubert is also a priority. She says that her biggest tips for moms s “to always put your husband first”.

“The children are just as important but do not neglect your husband. When the kids leave school you still have to have a relationship with your husband. My parents’ marriage is a big inspiration and example to me,” she told Poetry clothing in an interview.
