A 57-year-old London man was left with a gash above his eye and a damaged ligament after an encounter with a violent cyclist

City of London police are asking the public to help identify a cyclist who appears to headbutt a pedestrian following a disagreement.

According to reports, the attack took place on Farringdon Street in central London on August 22, at around 1.45pm. The incident was captured on CCTV cameras and shows the cyclist speeding through a red light where he nearly collides with a pedestrian. The pedestrian is seen gesturing and shouting at the cyclist, who turns around and confronts the pedestrian.

The cyclist can be seen walking up to the man and headbutting him before casually cycling away.
