Zodwa Wabantu

Zodwa Wabantu caused a story in November 2017 when she wore a sexy dress to the Feather Awards. While she was more covered up than usual, the dress revealed some of her lady bits.

Enter Bonnie Mbuli.

“Okay neh? I’m a raging hot headed feminist, but that pic of Zodwa flashing her goods has me shook, SHOOKETH am I’m open to considering all perspectives tho, Khulumani bafazi, let’s reason together,” she tweeted.

Some accused Bonnie of low-key shading Zodwa, while others questioned why there needed to be a debate about what another woman chooses to wear.

Bonang Matheba

Bonnie once again made headlines for alleged shady behaviour in 2018, when Bonang Matheba posted a picture of herself looking like the cat who got the cream, and a Western Cape vineyard. “….I’ve always wanted a vineyard…” Queen B captioned the image. Many Twitter users believed that South Africa’s media darling had bought a vineyard!

Enter Bonnie Mbuli.

“I could be out here buying vineyards but I’m playing …” she tweeted.

Twitter users labelled her tweet “shady”, with one tweeting, “so low! So unnecessary!”

But Bonnie denied she was being shady: “We must be able to differentiate between joking about something that’s already in the public space VS throwing shade, it’s not that deep, grow up guys.”

It later came to light that Bonang was working on her own bubbly label.
