If you are looking for ways to burn off some calories, consider using your legs.

If going to the gym or engaging in a serious exercise workout is not your preference, consider simply making some time to go for a walk, jog or run.

Walking is one of the simplest, beginner exercises that you can do to get the calories burning. It is a low impact, cardiovascular exercise that gets your heart rate up. It can help to improve your metabolism rate too.  Try picking up the pace once you feel that your body is fit enough to.

Running on the other hand is a more fast paced exercise. You will have to be much more fit to run as compared to walking. Ensure that you are wearing suitable shoes and attire when going out for a run. This will help to minimise possible injury to your legs.

If you find that you want to pick up the pace from walking but running is too strenuous and you are not ready for it, consider jogging. It can help you to stay fit and flexible, whilst burning calories too.
