Trevor Noah is of the most recognisable celebrities in the world thanks to his position hosting The Daily Show and his sold-out international stand-up shows

But, regardless of how famous he gets or how much money he makes (R430 million a year, in case you were wondering!), he never forgets his SA roots and the friends he made in his home country.

In fact, they regularly fly to New York and Los Angeles to visit the comedian, who now spends most of his time in America.

Anele Mdoda, Sizwe Dhlomo, Xolisa Dyeshana and Khaya Dlanga are some of his celebrity pals who visit him as much as they can.

They even go on overseas vacations together.

“Find great people who bring out the best in you and work to bring out the best in them then take cool pictures together because that’s what friendship is really about!” Trevor captioned a picture with some of his besties.

Exploring the streets of Japan

Last week, Trevor and his friends flew to Asia for some downtime in Japan. Anele joined the gang after a mini vacation in Mauritius with her family. Sizwe and his mystery new girlfriend were also spotted on the trip.

Trevor and his crew explored Japanese food and culture. Of course, no trip to Japan is complete without a trip to Disneyland!
