“We started off a little bit sceptical- how can somewhere in Southern England be the best into the world? Well. We have spent the summer travelling around England and we have not found anywhere to equal The 25. The secret of their success is the astonishing attention to detail and sophisticated use of technology to a) put across their message /offer and b) make your stay excellent- for example, we were delighted by the iPad in the room with a pre loaded video showing how to work the coffee maker! The place exudes style and good taste with bold use of colour in the decor, underpinned by comfort and convenience. The in room snacks are homemade, of course, and breakfast is exquisite. Good bread and excellent coffee. Advice on local restaurants and activities is freely available – what more can you ask? We will invent reasons to visit Devon in the future just to be able to go back.”
The 135-year-old, four-story brick building that served as the county jail for nearly 100 years was completely renovated in 2015 with amenities that will thrill any traveller.

“I can’t give this place a high enough rating. 5 stars doesn’t do it justice. We stayed in Suite 201 and loved it. There was not one tiny detail that has been overlooked. It was absolutely, purely perfect, from the coffee to the appetizers to the superb breakfast to the sheets and the luxurious bathroom. The stay was worth every cent. Matthew is in his element in this business and I hope he never tires of providing people with such an outstanding experience. We look forward to a return visit when we can try one of the other suites.”
Fylingthorpe, United Kingdom
The property is a large Victorian Villa built in about 1876. This superb house is steeped in local history and was designed by a local church architect, John Rickinson. With stunning views over the sea, the moors, open countryside and Ravenscar, it does not disappoint.

“This B & B is a little piece of heaven on earth. It’s no wonder visitors return again and again. Each time I come I feel so at home. The house is charming, spotlessly clean and superbly furnished with a fabulous garden, and set in a beautiful location with glorious views. Breakfast is worthy of five stars and the choice is mind-boggling. I do advise you to try the fresh fruit salad and creamy yogurt! The rooms are all stunning and I loved the cottage suite with a wonderful spiral staircase up to the lounge. Best of all are the owners! Paul and Malcolm know just how to tread that fine line – attentive but never in your face. You’re greeted as friends on arrival and leave as even better friends. Hosts par excellence!”
Brigstock, United Kingdom
The Swallows Rest B&B has a bright and airy dining area for breakfast (with garden terrace) and the house looks out over wonderful views across the Northamptonshire countryside – a peaceful place to come for work, rest or play.?
“We stayed at Swallows Rest and were absolutely delighted. Sam’s welcome was friendly, the accommodation spotless and very well furnished. Great shower to wake you up after a wedding the night before! Breakfast with homemade bread and jams and a great cooked breakfast! Lovely outside patio/garden area to listen to the peace of the countryside. Thanks Swallows Rest.”
Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania
Constructed in 1844, The Parsonage is the oldest unaltered structure in historic Jim Thorpe. Guests have a choice of four art and antique filled bedrooms, each with its own distinct personality, and each with a private bath.
