YouTube star Lasizwe Dambuza has revealed that his popular fictional character, ‘Nomatriquency’ is starring in a new parody reality series

‘Tricky Baby’, as the character is also known, will be the star of Game store’s Dare to Compare digital show.

Nomatriquency helped Lasizwe sign a big deal with the retailer after one of his YouTube videos went viral in May.

The video showed her answering questions during a hilarious interview at a fake Game store – which was really just a room in Lasizwe’s home.

Game officials liked what they saw and decided to hire Nomatriquency in real life for a fun campaign.

Lasizwe went on a nationwide tour dressed as Nomatriquency and interacted with customers and staff.

It seems they are now taking their partnership to the next level.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Lasizwe, who also has his own reality show, says he is excited about the parody series

“It has never been done in SA where you have a media personality and his fictional character have their own reality shows respectively.

“Like wow, I am just reminded that everything that I do seems to be ‘firsts’ in SA,” he said.

Nomatriquency will be heading on the road again. The four-part digital series will be recorded at various Game stores.

“I really didn’t think she would grow into the person she is becoming, as people often tell me that after watching her, they find some sort of comfort,” Lasizwe told the publication.

The Dare to Compare series kicked off earlier this month and Nomatriquency already has her loyal fans in stitches.

Lasizwe isn’t doing too badly for himself either.

The 21-year-old’s reality show, @Lasizwe Fake it till You Make It, season two, is currently airing and will likely be picked up for season three.

He is a teen ‘Marketing Director’ for Fanta South Africa and made appearances on both radio and TV.
