A birthday message Rosette Ncwana posted on Instagram to show her boyfriend some love has turned into a catfish investigation
The model included a picture of her hunky bae, whose name is allegedly Nathaniel Oppenheimer, in the post.
According to his bio, he is a member of South Africa’s Oppenheimer mining family – you know, the billionaires who own Anglo American-De Beers.
“Today is the day you were brought into this world to be a blessing and inspiration to the people around you! You are a wonderful person! May you be given more birthdays to fulfil all of your dreams!” Happy birthday my love. MINE,” Rosette captioned the image of Nathaniel.
While she didn’t tag him in the post, Nathaniel left a trail of crumbs about his identity in the comments section of previous pictures Rosette has posted.
Social media users were intrigued by the new man in Rosette’s life and decided to do some digging
What they found has raised some interesting questions about Nathaniel – if that is indeed his real name.
Twitter users used a reverse image search on Google to find out who the man in the pictures is. It turns out some of the pictures on his Instagram page seem to belong to someone named Luca Cartillone, whose account no longer exists.
The man looks strikingly similar to Rosette’s bae.
Twitter users are now convinced the model is being catfished.

But before you jump to any conclusions, some Twitter users claim Nathaniel is the real deal and his account was allegedly hacked.
Mara guys apparently that’s him and his account got hacked

Nathaniel’s Instagram bio states that he is a family shareholder of the Anglo American Corporation in South Africa and co-founder of the Anglo American Education programme.
Twitter users found his “boastful” bio very un-Oppenheimer-like.
“Nobody who is an Oppenheimer descendant puts “Family Shareholder: Anglo American Corporation of SA” in their IG bio. Old money whispers, new money shouts,” one man wrote.

Rosette has yet to respond to the accusations that her man is a ‘fake’
Instead she disabled the comments on the birthday post she dedicated to him.
Twitter users are having a field day speculating about what is going on and some some have come up with some interesting theories.
“I don’t know which theory is more embarrassing. Rosette creating an Oppenheimer for herself or being catfished by someone she thought could be an Oppenheimer. Either way, imbi,” a tweep wrote.
