Love it or hate it, the cycle shorts trend is not going anywhere. This week we show you how to wear them with class and style…

Not everybody is a fan of the cycle shorts trend. But that mostly because they often look more like they’re for working out not going out. But thanks to the fashionistas on the gram, we now know how to rock cycle shorts.

To avoid going out looking like we’re wearing Spanx or about to run a marathon, we have a few tips to make this trend more polished and chic:

Winter wonderful

You can definitely wear cycle shorts in the winter time. Just throw on a great coat and a pair of boots. Thigh high boots will make it look like you’re just wearing a pair of pretty leggings.

All black everything

An all-black look is the definition of chic – even if cycle shorts are involved. Wear your shorts with a black tee or vest and throw on a leather jacket, blazer or some faux fur.

Supermodel style

Another way to make your cycle shorts look less like they’re for jogging is to pull an Emily Ratajkowski by wearing them with a longer length blazer and a fitted top.

Sporty Spice

If you don’t want to turn up in heels you can still be chic while being casual by rocking a pair of stunning sneakers. While your outfit may be athletic, go for hair and make-up that is a little bit more polished than usual.

Major glam

Think high heels and lots of bling. Pile on your most glamorous night out pieces from head to toe to take your cycle shorts from totally Kardashian to totally charismatic.

Lace it up

We love lace cycle shorts. They are sexy and chic and are a cute twist to this trend.
