What to do when exercise feels like a boring chore!

Taking a shower, brushing your teeth, going to the grocery store, eating your vegetables, doing your taxes, and feeding the dog – these are all things that occupy space in your life.

They are NOT exciting, yet you do them anyway, because they are things you just HAVE TO DO as a grown-up making your way in this world.

I’ve got news for you… Exercise needs to be added to that list. While exercise CAN be fun (depending on what you’re doing), there are just some days where it feels like a chore. These are the days where you need to include it on your MUST DO list whether you feel like it or not.

You need to exercise the same way you need to do your ablutions

Exercise is a must for optimum human health, and if you want to live a long time, and live long well, then I am going to suggest that strength training is what you should be doing. You need a few simple exercises, and you need to work at getting stronger at them over time.

Strength training is simple. Effective. Time-consuming. Boring.  Yes, I said it – it can be BORING.

BUT

But it gives you the results you seek – guaranteed. So that makes it more exciting right? While it may feel like a chore in the moment, the future benefits are well worth the effort to buckle down and do the training.

It makes your whole life better. And if you’re that bored, why not listen to a podcast while you train? Or get a training partner?

However you do it, it doesn’t need to be exciting EVERY time. It just needs to be DONE.
