Mampintsha has spoken out in defence of Babes Wodumo after a viral video allegedly showed her insulting Lady Zamar surfaced this week

Babes is adamant that the woman making fun of Lady Zamar in the footage is not her.

Mampintsha took to social media to reiterate claims that the Wololo singer’s account was hacked.

“We’ll look for them and find them, relax,” he wrote in Zulu.

Babes’s sister Ndumiso Simelane says that her “heart is bleeding” after the video went viral.

“She is trying to get hold of Lady Zamar to clear her name regarding the accusations, because the situation is getting out of hand now,” She told TimesLIVE.

Despite her denials, many do not believe that Babes’s account was hacked

They say that the woman who is heard criticising Lady Zamar sounds exactly like her.

“#BabesWodumo #LadyZamar so the Person who hacked babes’ phone even hacked her voice? Babes think we r stupid neh,” one Twitter user wrote.

Another Twitter user added: “#BabesWodumo twitter account got hacked and someone used her voice to say something about #LadyZamar, maybe its the same person who stole her USB.”

One Twitter user even shared an old clip of Babes speaking to note how the alleged hacker and Babes sound the same.

Radio personality Penny Lebyane also weighed in on the viral video drama.

She says that Babes is a danger to herself.

“She is a danger to herself, a ticking time bomb with wires crossed where it matters the most – the head. The noise in her head is so loud she can’t hear nothing. It’s what happens when a gimmick is confused for talent. Sustainability idiotic concept.”
