Common in small townhouse gardens, if you don’t want to accentuate the long line of a long narrow garden bed and plant things in neat rows, you can make the area look bigger, fuller and lush with some clever planting tricks.

Firstly, consider what plants would be suited to the garden bed, depending on your region and how much full sun or shade the garden bed gets.

Next, consider plants of varying heights, shades of foliage, flower colours and flowering seasons to help create an aetheistically pleasing-looking garden all year round. Your local nursery should be able to help you with suggestions of plants suited to your garden.
