The Best Restaurant Award of the Winter Edition 2019: The Chefs’ Table in Durban!

We are delighted to award the Chefs’ Table in Durban with the Best Restaurant Award Winter 2019. They received exceptionally high scores for cuisine: 10, service: 10 and ambience: 9,9, resulting in a beautiful average of 10.

About the Awards
During the Winter Edition (from 18 July until 4 August), 80 participating restaurants designed a special menu and served this to Restaurant Week guests exclusively. Afterwards, every guest is invited to review the restaurant. To qualify for the Best Restaurant Award, we look at the highest average score with a minimum number of 20 reviews. Contrary to most awards, the Restaurant Week South Africa Awards are therefore determined by diners and their experience during Restaurant Week, and not by a jury. This way we ensure that the lauded restaurants are restaurants where real people like to eat.
