YES!

You see, recreational activity beats the heck out of sitting on the couch. So although it’s not as constructive as exercise towards your weight loss goal, it’s still helping you to burn through some extra calories – and that’s a good thing if losing weight is what you’re after.

How do I fit in exercise and recreational activity?

A good way to think about it is that exercise is mandatory in a healthy weight loss and fitness lifestyle. Recreational activity is an extra, and the more you can do, the more you can benefit. Just don’t push it into the realm of becoming another chore, because its primary purpose is fun, not weight loss.

An active life is a good life. And part of that is weight loss. So have some fun with recreational activity.
