Italian style is now a step closer! Iconic fashon brand, Yamamay, has opened it’s first store and we’ve got all the deets…
Italian underwear, clothing and swimwear brand, Yamamay, has launched its first South African flagship store at Menlyn Park. This brings a stylish and exclusive fashion range to local shores.
What’s the deal?
Established in 2001, Yamamay is famous for its racy yet sophisticated fashion. The range includes underwear, corsetry, swimwear, nightwear, clothing, and accessories. In fact, the brand is responsible for the iconic CR7 underwear collection. It boasts a network of over 700 stores worldwide.
An A-list fave
The range is loved by some of the world’s key influencers and is a firm favourite among Miss World contestants as well as supermodels. It’s also boasted several A-list ambassadors including Kate Upton and Emily Ratajkowski. They have recently signed on Spanish supermodel, Georgina Rodriguez, as its newest ambassador.

The brand-new, chic and colourful store is a great addition to the Menlyn Park Shopping Centre since it improves the unique shopping experience the centre is known for.
Gianluigi Cimmino, CEO Pianoforte Holding (which owns the Yamamay brand), said “I’m very proud of this new opening in Pretoria. South Africa has long been a key destination for the world’s most sought-after fashion brands”. The move is a bold one, as several international brands have left the country recently because of economic reasons.
New stores in pipeline
Yamamay plans to open its second store at Cresta Shopping Centre in November this year. In addition, two more stores will open in 2020 at Sandton City and the Pavilion, Durban.
