Nicole Nyaba is taking her career in a new direction

The video vixen has announced that she is saying goodbye to her days of hosting gigs at some of SA’s top clubs.

She will now be focusing on her career as an artist.

Nicole shared the news in an Instagram post explaining why she has been quiet on social media over the past few weeks.

“I apologise for not addressing this sooner but I haven’t hosted parties or events since Feb. I had spoken to my previous manager about taking a break in March and eventually I quit later. I’ve decided to be an artist and separate myself from hosting gigs because I believe in giving my all to whatever I choose,” she wrote.

Nicole has been hosting at clubs since 2016. She made headlines in 2017 when several reports suggested she had had an affair with AKA while he was dating Bonang Matheba

They both denied the claims at the time. The Fela in Versace hitmaker and Queen B called in quits in late 2017.

In 2018, Nicole claimed she dated AKA after his break-up with Bonang. They allegedly lived together as well and she had the receipts to prove it.

“Kiernan is a nice guy. He is sweet. He opens doors for you, asks if you’re hungry and tells you how beautiful you are when you wake up in the morning. He was an amazing boyfriend. He was constantly making me fall in love with him,” she told Drum magazine.

They allegedly split up after a fight during the Durban July weekend. The rapper went on to reunite with his baby mama DJ Zinhle.

Nicole has been living a scandal-free life for several months now and appears to be focusing on her music.

Earlier this month, she gave her 143 000 Instagram followers a taste of what they can expect from her rap career.
