It’s been just over a month since former OPW presenter Kayise Ngqula’s husband, Farai Sibanda was killed in a car crash and she’s grappling to come to terms with her loss

Kayise and Farai were in the car together when the crash occurred in Sandton, Johannesburg.

After spending a week in ICU, Farai succumbed to his injuries.

Kayise who was also severely injured in the car crash has been healing physically but the pain she feels over her husband’s death will remain for a long time to come.

The former TV star opened up about her grief in an Instagram post recently

“I certainly don’t have the words to explicitly express how I’m coping without him, the pain is too great. I am slowly recuperating from the injuries I sustained however my heart is far from healing,” she said.

Kayise added that she’s grateful for the overwhelming support she’s received during this tragic time.

“I did however feel strong enough to type this caption out to simply say thank you for all of you who have carried my pain and reached out. The DMs, calls, messages, texts… I’ll eventually find the courage to respond to all of them. I’m overwhelmed by the kind of support and love you’ve shown and for that I say thank you a million times over.”

Kayise and Farai tied the knot in August last year and welcomed their baby boy a few months later.

Today marks exactly a month ago since that horrific morning my darling husband and I were involved in a car accident. I certainly don’t have the words to explicitly express how I’m coping without him, the pain is too great. I did however feel strong enough to type this caption out to simply say thank you for all of you who have carried my pain and reached out. The DMs, calls, messages, texts…I’ll eventually find the courage to respond to all of them. I’m overwhelmed by the kind of support and love you’ve shown and for that I say thank you a million times over. I am slowly recuperating from the injuries I sustained however my heart is far from healing. For now, this is all I can manage, till then continue to keep me in your prayers.
