Comedian and inspiring actor, Robin Williams would have celebrated his 68th birthday on July 21 this year
In memory of his father, and in order to raise awareness about mental health issues, Williams’s son, Zak, gave a candid interview to Good Morning Britain. The death by suicide of Robin Williams in August 2014 shocked the world.
Zak told Good Morning Britain that despite his father’s ‘heartbreaking’ struggle with depression, he was determined to make the world laugh. “It was sad to see someone who was suffering so… as a family member and a child, you want to do everything you can to help soothe and ease what seemed to be intense personal pain.”
Zak, now 36, recently witnessed the birth of his first child with fiancée Olivia June. The baby boy was named McLaurin which was Robin’s middle name.
