The Lion King actress Florence Kasumba rocked the red carpet at the film’s European premiere in a stunning David Tlale piece
The much-anticipated remake of the film made its debut in London on 14 July.
Florence, who voices the hyena Shenzi in the film, took a piece of Mzansi with her in a Cape Antelope Bomber and Maxi Antelope Skirt from David’s latest “Africanah” collection.
The actress who is evidently a fan of David’s work was also dressed by him for the Black Panther premiere in Los Angeles last year
“Florence is such an amazing star and I am honoured that she requested me again. I wanted to give her a look that is different but classic and timeless and stands out on the celebrity Disney carpet. The look speaks of Africa that is global, elegant and true to itself,” The Juice quoted David as saying.
The swanky premiere was attended by Beyoncé and Jay-Z, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and other cast members.
In a separate Instagram post, David shared a video of Naomi Campbell perusing through garments from his latest collection.
Naomi picked a Cape Antelope Bomber Jacket in sunset salmon and described it as “gorg”.
