Type-2 diabetes is the form of diabetes that can be brought on by poor lifestyle choices…

On a very basic level, if you have type-2 diabetes, your body doesn’t turn the calories from carbohydrates into useable energy, which then makes sugar build up in your blood.

In time this build-up makes you prone to heart disease, organ and nerve damage, blindness and other serious problems. The scary part is that around 30% of sufferers of type-2 diabetes don’t even know that they have it.

Here are five of the most common symptoms to look out for:

1.     Initial symptoms

The first thing you may notice is that you’d be suffering from dry mouth, increased thirst, more frequent urination, enlarged appetite, and possibly strange weight fluctuations. While there can be other causes for these symptoms (including various medications), you should have yourself checked out just in case.
