At just 19 years old Tasché Burger is a force to be reckoned with after she emerged victorious at The Voice SA season 3 finale on Sunday night

Tasché became the first woman to win the singing competition when she beat out this year’s runner-up Soné Joubert, while Siki Jo-An walked away with third place.

The part-time waitress who hails from Brackenfell in Cape Town was a firm favourite from the early days of the competition.

The mood throughout the finale, which took place at Mosaiek Teatro in Johannesburg was electrifying with performances by Judith Sephuma, Caroline-Grace Brüss, Timothy Moloi, Francois van Coke, Jo Black, Roan Ash and Laurika Rauch.

In a video shared on The Voice SA’s Twitter page Tasché’s coach and singer Francois van Coke was ecstatic about her win

“Tasché my spirit animal, I’m so proud of you. I’m so happy that you won, I am the happiest man in the world right now. Amazing,” he said.
