When you worry about things, even when you know you shouldn’t, and feel like you can’t control it, you may have generalised anxiety disorder (GAD).

Living with GAD makes it hard for you to relax and feel happy. Instead of enjoying the moment, you’re worrying about some terrible thing that could happen next. GAD can make it difficult for you to fall asleep and can even manifest as physical aches and pains or stomach upsets.

If ignored, GAD can have a severely negative impact on the quality of your life and your relationship with others.

The good news is that it can be treated with either talk therapy, medication or a combination of both.
