If winter weather has you stuck indoors this weekend, you could get stuck in and clean these often overlooked spots in your home…
Under and behind the microwave
Whether your microwave sits on a countertop or in a cupboard, there are bound to be spills and crumbs that you won’t see unless you move the microwave.
Inside the oven
In the rush to tidy up, you’re not alone in only cleaning the stove top and outside door of the oven. If you have the time, give the inside of your oven a good clean.
Shower heads and cadies
Showerheads can become clogged, so they need to be cleaned. An easy way to do this is to fill a freezer bag with vinegar, secure it around the showerhead with a rubber band and leave it like that for an hour. Remove the bag after an hour, turn on the water to flush out the vinegar and give the showerhead a polish.
On top of and under the fridge
You may clean inside and the doors of the fridge often, but when last did you clean on top and move the fridge to clean underneath it?
Behind and under the dishwasher and washing machine
It’s hard to clean under and behind appliances like dishwashers and washing machines simply because they are heavy and awkward to move. So, if you can arrange some muscle to help you, move these hard-working machines and give the space a good vacuum and mop or wipe down.
