An intense cold front is expected to affect the Western Cape and Northern Cape Provinces on Thursday into Friday…

The public and small stock farmers are advised that strong to gale force north-westerly winds, very rough seas and very cold conditions can be expected.

1. Gauteng:

Morning frost in places, otherwise fine and cool.

2. Mpumalanga:

Morning fog patches on the escarpment, otherwise fine and cold to cool but warm in the Lowveld. Morning frost is expected in places over the western and central parts.

3. Limpopo:

Fine and cool to warm.

4. North-West Province:

Frost at first over the central parts, otherwise fine and cool.

5. Free State:

Frost at first, otherwise fine and cool but cold in the east.

6. Northern Cape:

Fog along the north coast at first, otherwise fine and cold to cool,  apart from high level clouds.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-easterly, becoming light to variable in the afternoon.

7. Western Cape:

Fine and cold but partly cloudy and very cold over the south coast and eastern interior with morning rain along the south coast. Morning fog patches is expected over the western interior.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly becoming strong south of Table Bay, spreading to the south coast by the afternoon.

8. Western Half Of The Eastern Cape:

Cloudy with scattered showers and rain along the coast and adjacent interior, otherwise partly cloudy and cold to cool. Morning fog patches is expected in places along the coast.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-easterly, becoming easterly in the afternoon.

9. Eastern Half Of The Eastern Cape:

Cloudy with isolated showers and rain along and south of the escarpment, but scattered along the coast, otherwise partly cloudy and cold to cool.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh westerly, becoming easterly in the afternoon.

10. Kwazulu-Natal:

Morning fog patches in places over the interior, otherwise fine becoming partly cloudy and cool but cold in the south-west.

It will become cloudy in the afternoon with isolated showers over the eastern parts.

The wind along the coast will be moderate westerly at first, otherwise southerly to south-westerly.
