Some of South Africa’s biggest stars attended the 2019 BET Awards in Los Angeles last weekend

Nomzamo Mbatha, AKA, Thando Thabethe and Sho Madjozi – who won big on the night – were all spotted at the ceremony.

They turned heads in gorgeous outfits throughout the BET Experience weekend, which ended with a star-studded ceremony at the Staples Center.

Some of the big names to attend the ceremony included Rihanna, Mary J Blige, Cardi B, John Legend, H.E.R, Regina Hall and DJ Khaled.

Nomzamo Mbatha is fast becoming a BET Awards regular. The actress attended her third awards ceremony in a row and as usual she did not disappoint. Her unique wardrobe choice earned her a place on Essence magazine’s best-dressed list.

Sho Madjozi

Sho Madjozi did South Arica proud when she walked home with the ‘Best International Act’ award.

“Limpopo Champions League we did it!! Thank you so much for voting for me. ‘Best New International Act’ at the 2019 #BETAwards Thank you,” she wrote on Instagram. She stayed true to her trademark style in a colourful look that did not go unnoticed on the red carpet.
