If you’re looking to add a new top layer to your winter wardrobe, puffer jackets are the trendiest (and warmest) options around. Learn how to rock yours…

We love puffer jackets! Find out why and follow our tips to get the look down pat.

Find the right fit

Since puffer jackets add volume to your bustline, you’ll need to choose carefully to perfect the look. The first step is to choose a puffer that fits perfectly. If it’s too small, you won’t be able to move freely. But if it’s too large, it will look baggy and unflattering. If you have an athletic figure or are pear-shaped, a shorter length puffer jacket will highlight your waist and enhance your bust. And if you have a larger bustline or are apple-shaped, look for a longer length jacket to flatter your frame.

Balance your proportions

Puffer jackets, as the name suggests, are puffy and voluminous. To get the look right, you need to wear yours with a slimmer fit bottom. For example, you can wear your jacket over a fitted top and skinny jeans and then add a pair of boots to complete the look. Your jacket will also work over a bodycon dress or pencil skirt as well.

Spoilt for choice

There are a range of puffers on offer in a plethora of shapes, shades and sizes. If you would like to draw attention away from your bust, opt for a darker, more neutral hue like black, charcoal or navy. But if you want to stand out and amplify your look, consider a bright colour like yellow, blue or red instead. There are a lot of gorgeous printed styles out there too if that tickles your fancy. This season even sees different types of textured puffer jackets including quilting and puffs on geometric shapes which heighten the look. Find something you love and get ready to turn heads!
