These small-space dwellers make living in tight quarters look oh, so good!
Whether you wish you had more space or are thinking of downsizing, these small-space dwellers are well worth following for their beautiful home decor style and smart storage solutions:
1. Alison Mazurek of 600sqft.com
Alison Mazurek and her husband decided not to move out of their lovely light-filled 56-square-metre one-bedroom apartment in Vancouver, Canada when she found out she was pregnant. Instead, they invested in a fold-up wall bed for their living room and turned the main bedroom into a nursery.
Since then, their family has grown to four. To make even better use of their space, they installed bunk bed style wall beds in the children’s room. This frees up more floor space in the children’s room during the day when they are playing.
What makes this apartment work so well for the family is that it is a ground floor apartment leading to a small garden, which provides an outdoor family living area and play space for the children.
Thanks to their uncluttered, modern style and calming neutral colour palette, their beautiful apartment has been featured in magazines and a number of decor sites, including ‘Apartment Therapy’ and ‘Design Sponge’.

3. Crystal from @crystalanninteriors
When Crystal, from Crystal Ann Interiors, and her family of four moved to New York, they had to downsize from a regular-sized American family home to a one-bedroomed 65-square-metre apartment.
Like Mazurek, the key to making their space work has been a wall bed in the living room. In this home, the wall bed is disguised to look like a large cupboard when it’s folded up and what draws attention away from the wall bed is the gorgeous dark painted feature wall with a rustic floating shelf and a collection of framed photos and art.
