Just weeks after it was reported that Emtee’s house and car had apparently been repossessed, the rapper’s messy personal life has once again made tabloid headlines

According to Sunday World, Emtee allegedly crashed two luxury vehicles in two weeks – and fled the accident scene both times – and moved out of his rented house after racking up a water and electricity bill of R100K.

The tabloid reports that Emtee’s record label Ambitiouz Records made these claims in a statement that they initially intended to send out, but later U-turned on the decision.

The paper stated that the statement was leaked to it.

“The record label did not repossess the Mercedes-Benz as alleged. At around 6am on Sunday 27th January 2019, Ambitiouz received a call from a tow-truck driver informing us about an unattended Mercedez Benz GLE 4×4 that was involved in an accident. The Ambitiouz team quickly rushed to the scene and on their arrival, Emtee and the two passengers were not there. The car was towed to an approved panel beater in Sandton, who gave us a quote of R706 787,” the paper quoted from the statement.

The report further claimed that Ambitiouz Records apparently contributed to the rapper’s medical bill and urged Emtee to make a statement to the police, which he allegedly refused to do.

The leaked statement claims that Emtee crashed another vehicle two weeks after the first incident, and allegedly refused to give police a statement on that occasion too

Emtee also allegedly moved out of his rented home, without informing the record label or the landlord. It is claimed that he left after the landlord raised concerns about the house, which included a badly burnt room.

“The landlord further highlighted the water and refuse bill which was not paid for over a year, resulting in a bill of over R93 034.”

Last week Emtee revealed that he was unhappy at Ambitiouz and wanted to leave the stable. Shortly after Twitter caught wind of this, the hashtag #FreeEmtee topped the trends list.
