Say hello to Ivanah Campbell, a young girl from Port Elizabeth who has warmed the hearts of celebrities from halfway across the world thanks to her incredible dance moves
If you don’t already know Ivanah Campbell then it’s time you catch up because the youngster from the Eastern Cape is already achieving world-wide fame.
At the age of six, many of us could barely string together two dance moves (some of us still can’t) but Ivanah subscribes to a different playbook.
We first came across Ivanah on our social media timelines at the beginning of this year where many were shocked at the maturity of her dance moves. While most six-year-olds are still coming to grips with their motor-skills, Ivanah has the ability to transform into someone who seems as if they’ve been dancing for decades when she breaks out into dance.
After quickly gaining fame in Mzansi, the talented Grade 1 pupil has now caught the attention of Hollywood stars all the way in the States.
One of her most recent videos has gone viral across the globe and was featured on popular entertainment and gossip website, The Shade Room
Their team was clearly impressed and described her facial expressions while dancing as “priceless” before tagging #YeboYes in their video and this was only the beginning.
American media moguls, Jada and Will Smith also took turns to show Ivanah some love with the Red Table host saying, “This girl has life figured out! I’m bout to go find me some traffic right now… and dance!”

They weren’t the only celebrities to put some respect on Ivanah’s name either
British-Jamaican hitmaker, Stefflon Don said, “Mine and Burna’s daughter [Burna Boy is a Nigerian Afrobeat singer],” while Captain America actor Chris Evans said, “This kid is cooler than I could ever hope to be”.
Back at home, Ivanah had the opportunity to share the inspiration for her love of dancing with local publication, The Herald, where she said, “I love dancing. Whenever a song plays, I just start to move. I even copy the moves from my favourite videos.”
Ivanah has her own Facebook page which already boasts more than 35 000 followers – and you can be sure she’s only going to grow in popularity following this recent exposure.
This video alone has already scooped more than 3,5 million views on her page at the time of writing.
Ivanah Campbell looks set to be the next South African child star to blow up internationally and we are here for her success.
Who would win if you had to challenge six-year-old Ivanah Campbell to a dance off?
