The 25th annual South African Music Awards (SAMAs) gave us plenty to talk about this past weekend
From the winners, to the losers, to the best dressed to the, um, not-so-best dressed, we’ve had plenty of entertainment scrolling through the hashtag in the days that have followed the ceremony.
This year’s awards were as entertaining as they were emotional in many regards; and we had as many reasons to laugh as we did to wipe away a few tears as we remembered the dearly departed. More than anything else, this year’s awards gave us reason to TALK!
Here were some of the most interesting moments from #SAMA25…
Musos or taxi marshals?
Sjava and Anatii’s outfits were a definite throwback to men’s fashion of yesteryear; but many people claimed that the two looked liked like they were ready to conduct taxis at our local rank!

Sho Madjozi’s dedication to her ex
Sho Madjozi won two massive awards on the night, capping off an impressive year.
But all the talk after the ceremony was all about her acceptance speech where she threw major shade in her ex boyfriend’s direction.
Sho Madjozi’s ex is not doing well right now. After this shade.

Nando’s joins in on the fun!
Speaking of Sho Madjozi, you know you’ve made it when Nando’s involves you in their social media commentary.
That’s exactly what happened when the fast-food chain showed her some love after she walked away with Best Newcomer and Best Female Artist. #HukuNaWinner!
