Grab ‘n go meals

Life is busy. And the reality of being busy is that things are often done in a rush…

You wake up in the morning and remember you have a meeting scheduled for 8am! You scramble out of bed, shower, do your ablutions, and go to have breakfast. What do you eat? Do you have an easy meal that you can have when you’re busy? Or do you flake out and get a fast food meal on the way in to the office?

Having meals that you can grab and go is vitally important to staying in control of your diet when life gets rough.

You need healthy, easy options that take little or no preparation on hand at all times. Keep something in your kitchen at home, in your car, and in your office so that you never have an excuse to get ‘naughty’ foods just because you’re busy.


Some ideas:

  • whey protein shakes
  • protein bars
  • nuts and seeds
  • fruit (fresh or dried)
  • biltong
  • boiled eggs
  • instant oats

Some of these don’t seem like the best things to eat all the time, but you shouldn’t be having them all the time anyway, just in the busiest times, or when life catches you by surprise.
