Check the lifespan of the programme
“If you take 20 tablets three times per day for just eight days you’ll be a lean, mean, muscle machine!”
There are a few tough reality checks in the world of weight loss. One of the toughest ones is that IF you want to be lean for the long-term THEN you need to be on a good diet and exercise plan for the long-term.
No-one, (yes, no-one) stays lean without hard work. That hard work includes diet, exercise, rest, and supplementation. These things need to be a way of life, like brushing your teeth or taking out the trash
What does this mean when it comes to marketing?
All those “quick fix” diets and products that are constantly being flogged are not going to be a lasting solution.
They MAY work slightly while you do them, but that doesn’t really help, because what you need is something you can do for the rest of your life. So while they may give you an easy way to kickstart your weight loss, they are not going to help you win the “battle” against your bodyfat.
What you need is a programme that looks doable for twelve weeks, then another twelve weeks, then another and so on, until you’ve lost the weight. Once that’s done you want to stay on the same plan, but scale it back a bit so you stop losing weight.
Find a programme with a long lifespan, then do it.
