It’s been two months since a video of Mampintsha hitting Babes Wodumo went viral and the former lovers seem to have put the incident behind them

They attended their first official show together since the incident and looked very cosy. Not only did they arrive hand in hand, but they also wore matching outfits for their appearance.

The musicians kicked off the first leg of their Bonnie & Clyde tour in Durban on Wednesday.

“I am excited. Today I am performing with Mampintsha. It’s been a while since we performed together,” TshisaLIVE quoted Babes as saying at the event.

Earlier this month, her father, Welcome Simelane, was adamant that they were not back together.

“Over my dead body! My daughter will never go back to that man. …they’re working together. Their relationship is that of colleagues, not lovers,” he told the Daily Sun.

The Wololo hitmaker’s fans are convinced she has gone back to her alleged abuser

They reacted with shock and sadness after pictures and videos from Wednesday’s event were posted online.

Some have even accused Babes of romanticising abuse.

“Babes Wodumo and Mampintsha…. This is too sad but it’s none of my business,” one wrote.

Some Twitter users said Babes needs help.

“Babes Wodumo is a victim & needs to be taken care of like any other woman struggling to get out of an abusive relationship,” one wrote.
