We love a good beauty how-to video – it’s a great way to get new tips and tricks from people who are willing to experiment. But every now and then, these experiments go horribly wrong; like losing-your-hair, tattooing-your-face wrong…
And it’s at times like these that we are forever grateful that there are other people out there willing to sacrifice themselves so that we never have to learn these beauty lessons the hard way, just like they did…
Heat tools + your delicate hair = a disaster waiting to happen; well, at least that’s the case when you leave the heat tool on your hair for far too long and turn up the heat way too high! Just remember, hotter doesn’t equal better when it comes to styling your hair.
Lose your lashes
An eyelash curler can be your best friend, really getting your lashes to lift, fan out and make those eyes of yours really pop. But, it turns out that they can also be your worst enemy. Be gentle with your make-up tools, people!
never again will I ever use an eyelash curler. pic.twitter.com/sqoKRMs5Qo

Say no to glue!
There are a few different products on the market to get rid of those pesky black heads, and while the gunk from your pores does seem to stick to them, we’re pretty sure that glue is not an ingredient in any of them. While it may seem obvious to most, we feel like we owe it to everyone to make this public service announcement: do not put glue on your face. Ever. If you’re still in doubt, this beauty fail should change your mind…
Make-up application can be a tricky thing when you’re a glasses wearer because of the mere fact that the tools required to help you actually see what you’re doing can’t be worn. This generally means you have to get pretty close to the mirror, and that your brows might not be exactly identical. Not in this person’s case though… they had much bigger issues…
Text from mum – having trouble sticking lashes on without her glasses.. turns out she was trying to glue a dead fly to her eyelid. I’m out. pic.twitter.com/2vNpcW5l5n

Fringe benefits… or not
We have to say, we don’t think hair dressers get enough credit. Most people tend to think cutting hair simply involves getting out your scissors and cutting a few strands of hair here and there at will, but there is a lot more that goes into it than that. And this is exactly why you should not cut your own hair – and especially not your own fringe. Otherwise this could be you…
(Not so) fabulous freckles
So, we love freckles, but we didn’t realise that they were having quite the moment. So much so, in fact, that people have been actually tattooing freckles on their faces. Yip, permanently tattooing them. At least the plus side to this fail is that the blogger used the less permanent henna, but the results were pretty disastrous… and hilarious!
