Working out is easy, once you’re in the habit. But every now and then, the wheels fall off and you create reasons not to work out for a while…
The best way back into it? Start with super short ones.
Here are seven steps to starting a great workout routine, by beginning with a seven-minute session.
1. Start by getting the heart going
Jumping Jacks (or Star Jumps if you prefer) give your body a great wake-up call. You’ll get your blood pumping and your heart pounding in no time. Do them at a rapid rate for 30 seconds, and then take a 10-second break (wherein you switch to the next exercise).
2. Sit – sort of
The next exercises are both ‘sitting movements’.
The first is a 30-second Wall Sit. Make sure your knees are bent at 90 degrees here.
Once your 30 seconds are up, take a 10-second break and then do squats for 30 seconds.
