Cut down on refined treats

If you tend to consume a large amount of refined and junk treats, it may be very wise to start cutting down. Refined foods usually have a low nutritional value and often contain preservatives to increase their shelf life.

Opt for natural, whole foods instead. You may be surprised to know that that the sweetness in fruits and vegetables can help to satisfy a sweet craving. Dried fruit may also be a better option than sweets – just opt for the sugarless alternative.

Consult a professional

Always consult a dietitian if you require assistance in putting a meal plan together. In addition, you should always check with your doctor before making any drastic changes to your diet, especially if you are under medication or suffer from any medical condition that has an effect on your diet.
