It is best to cut out your consumption of alcohol during pregnancy. Alcohol has been known to play a role in a woman’s risk of miscarriage, and may also affect the growth of a baby in various ways.

Some babies may develop foetal alcohol syndrome disorders. Difficulties with learning and problems with brain development may also arise. Other babies may experience other serious birth defects.

It can therefore be extremely dangerous for a pregnant woman to consume alcohol. Alcohol consumption must be discussed with your doctor if you fall pregnant or are planning a pregnancy in the near future.
