There are several reasons as to why an individual may experience choking. Here are some of them and suggestions on how to reduce your risk of choking
Are you eating whilst rushing around?
Avoid eating meals and snacks while rushing around. Opt to rather take a few minutes to sit down and enjoy your food. For example, spend a few minutes eating your sandwich instead of trying to gobble it down whilst on your way to your next meeting.
Set a good example for your children as they often learn through observation. Eat meals together at a table. Do not encourage them to eat when they are playing or running around, even if you or they are in a hurry.
