Hirslanden Clinic tested 18 men and 30 dogs for bacteria. The results were disturbing…

According to the Hirslanden Clinic, the study was initiated in order to determine whether humans could be infected with dog-borne illnesses. However, an unexpected result of the study also concluded that men’s beards carry more germs and bacteria than dogs.

18 men were tested for bacteria found in their beards and samples were taken from the neck area of 30 different dogs. According to the clinic, almost half of the beards in the sample contained bacteria hazardous to human health.

Think about that next time you kiss a hipster.
