Boity has hit the South African Hip-hop industry with a bang, showing us a side of her many of didn’t even know existed. Unlike the Boity of old, the ‘Bakae’ Hip-hop hitmaker is just dripping with swag, brimming with street smarts and bursting with that ‘boss attitude’.

We aren’t complaining. Boity’s growth game is strong and her fashion sense is even stronger. Her ’90s inspired outfits are an awesome throwback to Da Brat, Left eye Lopez, Boom Shaka and Abashante all rolled into one fashion mega-force.

Boity is the pleather queen

This is not an outfit for the faint of heart: pleather shorts, a huge belt, a boob-tube and the pièce de résistance – thigh-high stiletto boots. Boity definitely pulled it off.

Over the top and on top

Lil’Kim, the original ’90s Queen, would be proud not only of Boity’s lyrics and fighting attitude, but of her outfit choice too.

Spandex outerwear

It’s no secret, we aren’t really fans of brightly coloured spandex outerwear, but Boity is certainly changing our minds with this outfit. If ever there was another place for cycling shorts (except on a bicycle) it would definitely be the dance floor.

The blonde and the beautiful

The fashion world may be stepping away from weaves and wigs with no visible parting, but wherever Boity is going with this look we would gladly follow. The giant hoop earrings don’t hurt either.

Palazzo two-piece suit

Boity isn’t the first star to sport Palazzo pants since their fashion comeback, but her two-piece palazzo outfit is exceptional. If, like Boity, you were too young to truly appreciate the ’90s, this outfit is a great place to start.
