Ed Sheeran enjoyed some much-needed downtime in Cape Town ahead of his two shows in the city

The Grammy award-winner was spotted reading a book on Table Mountain.

He shared a picture of himself sitting on a blanket while enjoying the amazing view.

“I went to read my book on Table Mountain today and @securitykev took some pictures without me knowing,” Ed captioned the images.

After taking in Cape Town’s picturesque views, the Perfect singer took to the stage for a sold-out show at Cape Town Stadium.

“@edsheeran was incredible tonight. I smile from ear to ear the entire #capetown,” one concertgoer tweeted about the show.

Ed has been enjoying his time in South Africa just as much as have his fans

The 28-year-old supported the Proteas during their T20 match against Sri Lanka in Johannesburg.

“Went to watch some South African cricket today. Excuse the shirt please if you’re English, I was caught up in the moment, you understand yeah? Cool,” he wrote.

Ed also surprised his Jozi fans by wearing a Springbok jersey during one of his shows.

The South African leg of the singer’s Divide Tour will wrap up in Cape Town on Thursday.

We doubt it will be his last visit to Mzansi. He loves South Africa!
