As the country continues to grapple with load shedding, Mariechan has turned the horrible experience into a song
Taking to Instagram, Mariechan shared a snippet of the song, which she said was inspired at 3am after being plunged into darkness.
The songstress described load shedding as a “toxic love”.
“As I sit in the dark… my love/hate relationship with Eskom replays itself over and over in my head. I found myself waking up at 3am in a sweat, I was left powerless yet inspired to write a song about this toxic love. Eskom, I know you can’t see me but I hope you listen,” she said.
Fans filled the comments section of Mariechan’s post, applauding her creativity.
