South Africa’s media darling Bonang Matheba has officially launched her very own alcohol beverage!

She took to Twitter on Monday to share the exciting news.

“Welcome to the House of BNG… two years in the making & my love letter to Africa!!

“I introduce my brand new Brut & Brut Rosé MCCs… it’s time to celebrate!!” she tweeted.

Bonang has been teasing the project for over a week now, with many believing that she was releasing a new clothing line

But a slip-up on Woolworths SA’s website revealed that the 31-year-old was about to drop her own bubbly.

MCCs is a sparkling wine made using a traditional French method known as Methode Cap Classiques. It’s SA’s version of champagne.

House of BNG was trending on Twitter for hours in anticipation of the release and fans were not disappointed.

“My coins are ready,” one Twitter user wrote.

Another added: “If Bonang thinks empty bottles of BNG are gonna fill up room dividers all over South Africa, she is absolutely right. No party will start without a bottle of BNG popping.”

Several stars joined Bonang at the official House of BNG launch including Nadia Nakai and Tshepi Vundla.

According to Woolies, a 750ml bottle of Bonang’s MCC Brut Rosé will sell for R399

“Take all of my money,” wrote one Twitter user.
