Bonang Matheba has been teasing a big project she will be launching in a few days, but Woolworths may have unintentionally let the cat out of the bag ahead of schedule
Queen B took to social media this week to share a gold logo for her upcoming venture, House of BNG. The brand already has an Instagram account, but the posts are not visible as the page has been set to ‘private’.
The big reveal will take place on March 18 and many fans believe it might have something to do with fashion. A fashion line makes sense for the media personality, who launched her very own T-shirt collection with Spree last year.
But it looks like the 31-year-old’s big announcement has nothing to do with fashion – unless you count the stylish packaging.
Woolworths SA recently added an interesting drink to its website.
Bonang MCC Brut Rosé, which is set to retail for R399,99 for a 750ml bottle, has the ‘House of BNG’ logo
A description of the product provides further clues.

MCC is SA’s version of champagne. According to wine.co.za, “South African sparkling wines made in the traditional French method (methode champenoise) are referred to as ‘Methode Cap Classiques’ or MCCs.”
Bonang told her social media followers she has been working on her “secret” project for years

Bonang’s trip to Rust en Vrede wine estate in Stellenbosch in early 2018 is starting to make a lot more sense. She shared a picture of herself from the estate, captioning it “girls with vineyards”.
“I’ve always wanted a vineyard,” she wrote on Instagram.
#GirlsWithVineyards was soon trending on Twitter, with many of her fans thinking she had just bought a vineyard. Adding to the mystery, Queen B shared a video of herself signing a contract.

Bonang’s PR team denied she had bought the wine estate, with her manager saying she was simply “having lunch and working in the winelands”.
Working on her very own MCC, perhaps?
