Apple has invited media to a 25 March event at the Steve Jobs Theater on its campus in Cupertino, California, where it is expected to launch a television and video service.

Jane Lanhee Lee reports the news in this video and informs us that Apple has recently spent 2 billion dollars making movies in Hollywood with stars that include Oprah!

The service is expected to provide competition for Netflix and Amazon and reduce the reliance on various apps for Apple users who want to watch movies on their devices.

This follows hot on the heels of the Apple announcement earlier this year that Apple has experienced ts first dip in iPhone sales ever.
