You can cut down on many calories by not using any oil to prepare popcorn. Yes, not using any oil! Off course, you would require an air popcorn machine to do so. It is easy and convenient to use and only involves adding popcorn to the machine before switching it on. Be sure to keep an eye out for one the next time you’re out shopping. Opt to have plain popcorn

Opt to have plain popcorn as opposed to colouring it. Adding colour to popcorn involves the addition of icing sugar as well as food colouring. The sweetness of the snack may also tempt you to overindulge, especially if you have a sweet tooth. This can add hundreds of calories to a very simple snack and will also take more time to prepare.

Wholesome taste

Plain popcorn without adding any other ingredients to it, can be delicious. It may take a while to get adjusted to the taste especially if you are used to having a flavoured alternative but give it a go. You may be pleasantly surprised and enjoy the wholesome taste that plain popcorn has to offer.

Remember that popcorn also contains fibre and this will help support your weight-loss efforts too. Fibre helps to keep you satiated until it’s time for your next main meal.
